In the Diocese of Orlando, parish and school leaders will have an opportunity to attend a one day comprehensive conference on the essential tools and skills needed to harness the power of new media for the new evangelization.
This is an excellent opportunity for parish and school webmasters, social network administrators and all ministry leaders who would like to use new media to enhance and strengthen their ministry.
Please forward this to anyone at your parish or school who could benefit from attending this exciting and timely conference.
Three nationally recognized speakers will provide dynamic presentations and inspire you and teach you how to use new media such as websites, social media and e-marketing to promote the Gospel values that are critically needed in our culture.
- Brandon Vogt is a Catholic author, speaker, and new media expert. He blogs at BrandonVogt.com and is the author of The Church and New Media: Blogging Converts, Online Activists, and Bishops Who Tweet.
- Matthew Warner is a full-time CEO (Flocknote) who founded Tweet Catholic, blogs for the National Catholic Register, and manages a popular blog, Fallible Blogma.
- Josh Simmons is the founder and CEO of eCatholic, one of the largest providers of Catholic websites in the country. Before launching eCatholic, he also worked in the Church for several years as a Youth Minister, Director of Faith Formation, and Music Minister.
Topics include: how to perfect your website, building your social network, and avoiding the dangers of the digital continent. The day also includes a 30-minute media makeover, in which the presenters will build a dynamic website and social media presence in 30 minutes.
